The session will focus on aggressive driving and will present the steps that Maryland’s Highway Safety Office is taking to curb aggressive driving in Maryland.

October 26 – Younger Member-hosted Oktoberfest

September 20, 2016 Construction Tour

The September ASHE event is a surface mine tour of Bluegrass ‘Texas Quarry’ pit and plants. The tour will include a presentation (history, production numbers, issues). Attendees will be driven around the site and will see some large mobile equipment staged at various locations.

Will there be a BLAST while we are there? If we are lucky, maybe! But, no promises….

Time:  2:30pm-4:30pm

RSVP:  Quarry operators imposed a limit of 30 attendees. Registration will be first come, first served.

What safety equipment should you bring? Hardhat, safety glasses, long pants, sleeved (long or short) shirt, and hi-visibility vest. Solid, closed toe shoes or boots are mandatory. Steel-toed boots are not required.  Sunglasses and clothes you can get dirty are suggested.

Where does the tour start and stop? A shuttle bus will take everyone to/from the parking area of Wallace Montgomery’s office which is nearby at 10150 York Road, Cockeysville, MD.

What should I do if I don’t want to sit in rush hour traffic on my way home?  Come join us for happy hour and networking at Wit’s End after the event.  It’s Taco Tuesday!

Younger Member Happy Hour – July 21

ASHE Chesapeake is starting a Younger Member group!

The goals of this group are to boost younger member (and non-member) attendance at events and involvement in the Chesapeake section, provide more relaxed networking opportunities and to have a good time!  We plan to have 3-4 events each year focused toward younger members, the 1st event being a summer happy hour!

Come cheer on the Orioles as they host the Blue Jays with your fellow ASHE members. Bring the whole family and enjoy and evening at the ballpark!

After the game, enjoy the postgame fireworks.

The Orioles are contributing $5 per ticket sold to the Healing Hands Foundation.
